Team Fortress 2 FTP?

Back when I bought Team Fortress 2 over a year ago, I was extremely excited about my purchase because the game is so fun and has a ton of content for you to unlock; however, I never expected the game to become free to play (FTP). I can't believe the game is now FTP and all I get for my purchase is a decent looking hat that I can equip to my character in-game. I would be more happy if they gave the people who purchased the game credit in the store to buy new weapons. My personal opinion of the hats in TF2 are that they're just another way for the developers to make money. None of them look that great and they are honestly a scam. That's my personal opinion of it at least. Though it is FTP, Team Fortress 2 still delivers the most fun multiplayer experience I have ever had. I was turned off at first with the idea of the store but I'm starting to like it more and more. I still wish I got my money back for purchasing the game or something or maybe even a free game off of Steam. Either way, I'm happy playing Team Fortress with my equipment I didn't buy.

Jipped?

Out of Money?

Everyone knows gaming is an expensive hobby. I've always wondered why video games have to be so damn expensive. I mean $60 for a new game? That's ridiculous! I can barely afford to pay for all the games that i want. I've recently had to settle with not buying games that I've wanted such as Mortal Kombat and even Portal 2. I'm probably more funded than most gamers out there and still have to miss out on certain gaming experiences because games are just getting way too expensive. Just look at Call of Duty: Black Ops. That game was $60 when it came out plus, if you wanted a few extra maps so you can actually play all the playlists, you have to pay an extra $15 each. I know this is Activision's doing because they seem to only be in the business for money. It kind of makes me angry because Black Ops didnt really seem like a complete game when it was made. I know they had a whole bunch of new maps and zombie levels on reserve in order to make them DLC. It's really sad to see this because when people buy these DLCs they waste money and miss out on other games that come out in the future. Most games are made like this today. They release a main game that's incomplete then progressivley release DLC in order to keep players glued to their games. This started to become more popular with the newest generation. Even with this DLC craze, it seems like the only platform that doesn't do this is Nintendo. They have a shop that you can download "Wiiware" and classic games onto your system. I never liked the whole idea of DLC. I still am yet to buy any DLC for any extra single player missions. I still buy expansion packs for games that add a whole new story to the game. I guess I'm still living in the past when there was no such thing as DLC. It's probably going to take a long time to get used to.

Bungie's Bag o' Swag

I was one of those people who was F5ing until I got a Bag o' Swag from Bungie. Then all of a sudden my friend sent me a message on Steam saying they made a new page for the bags and they were already sold out by the time I got there. It is absolutely ridiculous how fast those things sold out. I can imagine that people were refreshing the amazon page since 12 a.m. this morning. There were so many people doing it that the Bungie store actually crashed which delayed it a little bit. Fortunately, my friend, who is also helping me with this blog, was able to get some so he'll be sure to post some pictures of it once he obtains it. Even though I wasn't able to get it, I'd still like to hear from everyone that was fortunate enough to get this coveted collectible from Bungie. Please leaves comments if you were able to get it and share what you got once you open your Bag o' Swag
